The evidence for lifestyle modification interventions in preventing chronic disease is now overwhelming. As a Lifestyle Advisor to SA Health, John Wibrow is an experienced evidence-based practitioner who can facilitate your goal setting and help you to develop an action plan. The plan sometimes includes referrals to other health professionals and the process includes providing regular feedback and follow up as appropriate.
During your initial consultation, your lifestyle risk will be assessed using evidence-based risk assessment tools associated with diabetes risk and other risk factors such as smoking, nutrition, alcohol misuse, physical inactivity and stress.Where appropriate, eligible clients may be referred for free lifestyle advise within the SA Health ‘Do It For Life’ program  (http://www.health.sa.gov.au/Default.aspx?tabid=527).
